Ted Shekell

Ted K. Shekell, AICP, the PlannersWeb’s newest columnist, will be focusing on ethical issues – a topic covered in the Planning Commissioners Journal for many years by Greg Dale.

Shekell has served as Planning Director for the City of O’Fallon, Illinois since 1997. He regularly guest lectures at the University of Missouri (St. Louis) Chancellor’s Certificate Program in Planning and Zoning on planning ethics, effective public meetings, and development of annexation agreements

Prior to his work with O’Fallon, Shekell worked for six years as Executive Director of the Southern Five Regional Planning Commission in rural southern Illinois, which provided assistance to 23 communities and 5 counties.
